When Family Works Northern approached the Alterno Foundation with a request to assist one of their young people with her dream of becoming a high performing softball player, Alterno was pleased to contribute.
The assistance provided under the study assistance scheme enables her to travel to tournaments and purchase essential equipment and gear. This travel and the experience of international participation would provide her with further learning in a variety of areas.
From the information provided by Family Works Northern it was clear that this young lady is very talented in two sports and playing at a high level from a very young age. She is praised for her skills, attitude and commitment to the sport, she is keeping up with her academic performance at the same time. At Alterno we will monitor the progress of this young lady and her efforts to become a world class softball player representing New Zealand.
